
Dr Lakhani Saleh

Noureen is a curious and compassionate Educational and Child Psychologist committed to supporting children, young people, and families in overcoming barriers to learning and emotional well-being. She trained at University College London (UCL), where she completed her doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology, building a strong foundation in evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention.
Before her doctoral training, Noureen worked as a research assistant on a project funded by the Education Endowment Fund, gaining valuable insight into the use of research to inform best practice in educational settings. Other experience included working as a Psychology Assistant, volunteering with Mencap Midland and a family playgroup for children with autism.
Noureen brings over four years of experience working as an Educational Psychologist within local authorities across Inner London and Greater London. In this role, she has worked closely with schools, families, and multi-agency teams to support the development, learning, and emotional needs of children and young people.
Her specialist areas of interest include supporting children who have experienced trauma, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), and attachment-related difficulties.
In addition to her practice, Noureen is an academic tutor and placement supervisor for trainee educational psychologists at the Institute of Education, UCL. She is committed to the development of the profession and enjoys mentoring the next generation of psychologists.
Noureen has conversational proficiency in Urdu, which allows her to connect with a wider range of families and offer culturally sensitive support.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys running, reading, and trying new recipes —activities that help her maintain balance and creativity in her everyday life.
